Commute to American School

Does anyone live in Hunters Hill and send their kids to the american school? We (me, wife, two girls ages 5 and 3) are relocating to Sydney and I found a house I like in Hunters Hill. Our 5 year old is in Kindergarten and we are thinking of sending her to the american school but fear the commute time will be too much. I understand the hunters hill primary school is good. Any thoughts, advice?
