Family visiting - need accommodation for up to 15 people

My family will be visiting Sydney this year either in May or July for about 2 weeks from the US. It's 8 kids ranging in age from 1 to 12 years old and 7 adults. I don't have the room for them to stay with me, so I'm looking for advice on where to look that won't break the bank. Any advice on their getting around Sydney easily and cheaply is also welcome, as well as any advice on finding cheaper flights.
