Just landed in North Sydney and looking for advice on neighborhoods for the long-term

My husband and I and our two kids (5 and 1) just arrived last week from California and are busy getting settled in. We are currently in North Sydney and our daughter is attending North Sydney Demonstration School. We need to find a place to rent longer term and are looking advice on the various neighborhoods in the Northern Area. My husbands work is in St. Leonards so we are trying to stay somewhere that is convenient to that. We'd like a 4 bdr. place and realize that may be difficult in the more dense neighborhoods.

We have a massive list (Mossman area, Cremorne, Cammeray, Neutral Bay, McMahons Pt., Crows Nest, Northbridge, Chatswood, Lane Cove, Riverview)

and are curious about schools, amenities, family lifestyle, shopping accessibility etc.

We'd appreciate any advice or any experiences you may have to offer. Thank you very much.
