All of those places that you list are good suburbs to live (though are largely on the pricey side) and some of the nicer spots in Sydney (in my opinion!).
Transport is well worth addressing when living in Sydney. If your husband is going to be working at St Leonards I'm not sure if he's got parking at his work & wants to brave the traffic, so I'll assume he's on public transport. The disadvantage of Mosman,
Cremorne, Neutral Bay is the lack of train line & that you have to change buses to get there (ie no direct bus). My suggestion would be to look for somewhere along the Northern train line that goes through places like Chatswood & Artarmon & is walking distance to Lane Cove. Being on a direct rail link will really improve his commuting each day & anywhere along that train line is pretty nice (though gets more boring the further from the city).
