Ingrid,
The cafe is open from 10am-6pm on Saturdays. I am also doing all the US holidays so I'm really excited about the Halloween event coming up soon. There is a review of my shop on www.australianamerican.org.au if you want to know what it is like. I look forward to meeting you and your husband.

: Hi,
: I'm from San Francisco and my husband is
: Australian. I've been living in Sydney for 8
: and a half years. It really is an adjustment
: and I understand how hard it is. It took me
: years to adjust but it was more about me
: having to accept that I was here and not at
: home and that this place is different but
: sometimes different things can be good too.
: It helps to have access to American things
: like food, TV shows, even to hear American
: accents in person. I've just opened an
: American-style bakery in Newtown and I have
: Americans come by everyday to have some
: traditional sweets and chat. You guys are
: welcome to come by. I am also doing NY style
: bagels or at least closer to that style than
: any Australian can get. If you're in Sydney,
: you can come by. The shop is located at 482
: King Street Newtown. It is called Buppa's
: Bakehouse.
