Buying Electronics in the States to bring to Australia

My husband and I will be moving from NY to Sydney in a few months. We are trying to plan ahead and buy Aussie-compatible electronics while we are still stateside since it's so much cheaper) and then ship it across with the rest of our stuff.

Did anyone else have any luck doing this? We've found two websites (below) that seem to sell what we're looking for, but want to make sure it will work before we invest the money.
