Hello!
I would be very grateful if you can tell me whether i used past simple and past progressive correctly in the following sentences:
It was a beautiful day.The sun #was shining and the sky #was blue.The wind #was blowing gently-it was a perfect day for sailing.The boys #got in the boat with their uncle and #sailed out to the island in the middle of the lake.They #caught some fish,#made a fire on the beach and #had a delicious lunch.Suddenly while they #were having lunch,the wind #changed and the sky #became very dark.The boys #were eating and #didn't notice,but Uncle Pete #looked up and #shouted at the boys.Get in the boat.There's a storm coming!
while they #were throwing everything into the boat,the first raindrops #fell.They #sailed home as fast as they could.While they #were running to their house,the thunderstorm #started,but they were home,tired,wet, but safe.
I would be also grateful if you could provide me with an explanation on the wrong answers.
