Come, let us reason together.
Posted by Sphere on 1/16/2002, 8:51 pm It will not be an easy task for the upcoming "New" leadership, whoever they may be. They have to be kind/gentle enough for forgiveness, accepting the current situations and transforms into "Trust, unity and forwardlooking attitude". Like you said, "True change" (including the Flag) has to come to Myanmar. I agree with your 7 point changing conditions. As for "The Talks", there are signs that it is slowing down by news of USDA people rallying for SPDC. I have seen SPDC ruling for 14 years (1988-2002) and they have done much good/improvment for the country by building bridges, schools, dams etc, etc, etc. But I still think SPDC can do "more" to improve the country in a faster pace. Actually since the military has rule Myanmar for 40 years, I truely think it is time to give the other guy (Non-Military) a turn or chance to rule Myanmar. Then only the world will see how the other guy (Non-MIlitary) run the country. It is not only good/healthy for the country to take turns but also good image for the military for "Peaceful transfer of Power". On the other hand NLD should accept some of SPDC's doing. NLD should not expect all her ways to be allowed by SPDC. Both sides "must" back off from their original stands. Then only "Compromise, Co-operation and meaningfull dialogue" can be established. I also support your 3 way major Party system. Sensitive
Excellent Thinking K. Myaing,
Like I said What Myanmar really needs is "Broadminded, Gentle, and Wise/Intelligent" leaders to change the country for the better and do it in a quick and efficient way. Regardless of whoever rules Myanmar, the new leaders must have immese courage to face the reality of Myanmar's mounting difficulties and problems.
