He said, "there are no permanent enemies or permanent friends, only permanent national interests". When we are dealing with foreign powers, we have to be aware of this. In whatever we do, we have to be united as a nation and as a people. See how other countries unite in times of danger. See the US. Where in the world can you see four Presidents in one place, on good terms and shaking hands. That is the kind of unity we need for the good of the country. People will come and people will go but the country will remain forever. Myanmar is the national heritage of our forefathers and it is up to the people of Myanmar to defend it and see that its national interests are not harmed by any one, inside and outside the country.
