My ancestor, Richard Edward Taylor, was born in Southwark, London, to William Benjamin Taylor and Emily Taylor on 24 Jan 1862. I have a copy of Richard's birth certificate showing the names of these parents. According to family lore, Emily's maiden name was Knight.
What do you think? It seems likely that your William Benjamin Taylor and mine are the same person. Do you know what the William's occupation was? In your research have you encountered Emily?
