My great uncle John MacLennan came to NZ from Scotland in the early 20th century. He signed up with NZEF in 1915 and served in Europe but was wounded, hospitalised at Brockenhurst and returned to NZ as unfit to see active service. He was living in the Mangapurua Valley (Bridge to Nowhere) area and was killed while felling a tree in 1918. Am trying to find out when he came to NZ (year and ship). Prior to signing up he was working on a farm, employed by D Edwards of Mataroa. Would also like info on this person.
