I am looking for information on Hori George Arthur Morse, born approximately 1897. I know he was aged 27 in February 1924. He had a love affair with my great aunt, Hilda Emily Hunter. He spent his “early years” in New Zealand but may have been born in the UK or Australia. His name may have been George Arthur Morse but he was always called Hori and this appears in an official document as well. I believe Hori either meant Maori or was the Maori word for the name George. It may also have been short for Horace, although you would think that an official document would have used his full name. He did go to England, South Africa and Australia. He was in Australia from 1924 for 15 or 20 years. If anyone knows of him, please drop me a line !
