Hi Henry Nice to hear from you. I have quite a lot of information on William Schaw Lindsay who was quite a famous man in his day. I am not sure about the connection to the Earls of Crawford. It would be great to try to obtain a link but I spent a fair deal of time in Register House in Edinburgh many years ago trawling through the old parish records to no avail.
