hi there Syvila, yes Pierre Playfair Chaplin is my grandfather how was born in colchester Essex in 1880. I think he left England before the 1901 census as the family have no record until he married my grandmother in NZ in 1913, I think George Washington Chaplin is the eldest in the family?
