wonderful to hear from you. I was wondering what had happened to Pierre.Yes, my grandfather George Washington Chaplin was the eldest of the family, born in 1875.I don't know how much you know about the family, but I have a family bible which was written in by Pierre's father and grandfather. Pierre's middle name of Playfair comes from his paternal grandmother.
A little about me. I live in Gloucestershire, England, and am the eldest of five children. My father was George's 5th, and last, child. I was 50 2 months ago, am married and have one son. Much of my research into the family has been done together with Suzanne Chaplin, the greatgrandaughter of Pierre and George's brother Harry.We would both love to hear more about Pierre and his descendants.My e-mail address (I'm not clear if this site gives it) is syvila@chaplin886.wanadoo.co.uk.
