Philip Thorpe married Violet Matthews in 1870 in England, and moved to Hawke's Bay in 1877, they then had many children, one who was named Jenny, born 1879. Jenny married Richard Nelson in 1899 and had about 5 children, one whom was Esther, born 1910. Esther Nelson is my great great great grandmother although I live in Hamilton, most of her descendants are around Hawke's Bay, Otago, and Westport
