I've recently been researching my family tree, and I've discovered that I had a relative in Christchurch, New Zealand called George Frisby, who died aged 23 on 1 April 1868. He was the son of John Frisby, who died October 4th 1866, aged 53.
According to a transcript I read(http://nzgenealogy.rootschat.net/hb1868wt.html), a Mr G T Frisby was stabbed by Mr H Monagan. This was in the newspaper on 23 March 1868.
I live in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
Could any body give me any information at all about this? It would very much be appreciated.
