Hello Bill:
I came across this website while "googling" my great-great grandfather, William Schaw Lindsay and his son, William Stewart Lindsay. One of Wm. Stewart's sons was my grandfather, Michael E. Lindsay, and one of his four sons was my father, Patrick Alexander Richard Lindsay of The Manor House, Shepperton, Middlesex. (My old home from about 1960-68)
I believe I have a copy of the great family tree you put together back to 1400s - I visited New Zealand in 2006 with my cousin Vanessa Linday Prosser and we connected with several cousins (Riddiford's and Williams').
I live in Florida now, but my siblings Delia, Michael and Jonathan Lindsay all reside in the UK.
I was trying to remember/discover which American University has the original manuscripts and volumes belonging to Wm.Schaw Lindsay - which were auctioned in the 80s or 90s - and coordinated by our old family friend Hilda Kirkwood of St. Andrews.
One website indicates some papers are at the University of Missouri - but I seem to recall it was a University in Virginia, possibly Richmond.
