I am trying to get the complete family tree of the Dobbs of Abbeyleix together.Hoping to visit the local churches and registry office in Abbeyleix on my trip to Ireland next month.My great,great grandmother was Rebecca Dobbs who married the farmhand called Christopher?? Jelly--a Catholic by the way!Can you imagine the scandal it created??Still today there is a place in Abbeyleix called Jelly's Pit.I have been told that a playschool exists on part of the site and the name is Jellytots!!I would appreciate any information.Hope to put my results on the web and I invite all of you with Dobbs connections to contribute.Perhaps a family reunion could be arranged in the future in Abbeyleix.Anyone interested??Appreciate in advance any information.
