Looking to share information on the Nicholas families( I believe several from one family came out in the 1860's) - names I am aware of are William, Edward, James Martyn, all photographers in Southland area. James later returned to England and married into the Pearce family. Returned with brother in law, Tom Pearce ( and his own family) in 1879. Tom was a noted organ builder. Other Nicholas brothers went to Australia in 1880's. I have many gaps to fill in....
