In PearlsPad she list a Headstone with the name Moffat in my husbands Great Grand Fathers Autobiograph by Harry Louis Moffatt he mentions going to visit his Uncle he was in Bay of Islands
before it was colonised and he took part in the Maori Wars also talked about his Uncle taking him to show him where 300 British Soldiers Died in the trenches and stated that they visited his Aunty's grave. His Uncle came to NZ on an early
Whaler. Our ancestors back in Scotland went by Moffat. Regards Aroha
