How nice to hear from you Bill - I had quite forgotten I had posted that message! I will continue to do some research on what happened to the journals from Wm Schaw Lindsay. I recall as a child reading them intently, as he described finding and purchasing Shepperton Manor and meeting with such luminaries as Disraeli and Gladstone. You said to write to your e-mail address, but you did not send it in the message - perhaps you would include it in the text next time.
