My point was giving drugs to control a mare's heat isn't inhumane. Just because as a person you felt ill taking hormones, doesn't mean the horse is going to. I wasn't refering to breeding using short cycling verses a natural cycle.
I personally wouldn't want to sink a couple thousand into spaying a mare if other methods didn't help even a little.
