Finding a private place that will have a nice arena and allow a private trainer may be hard. Most private places in the area are small and either cater to the owners and other trail riders, or are "hidden" and don't take outside boarders.
However, your best bet is to look on the bulletin boards in the area. That's where many of the people with private places in PV and Woodside post their openings. There are a couple bulletin boards to check:
* Outside of Robert's Market in Woodside
* Outside of Carousel Saddlery in Portola Valley
* Kiosk in Ladera Shopping Center, near the grocery store
* Bulletin board at the back of Blue Horse (Tiedown) Saddlery in Los Altos
You might also want to look at places that are on the coast in Pacifica, etc. You might have better luck there, but I don't know where in those areas to look for postings.
