I tried a long lead rope, but it wasnt enough to keep him from running me over and hitting me in the head with his hoof. So now I have a lunge whip, I use it to keep him back, will only "use" it if he charges me again. The lunge whip is a bit longer and a lot stiffer - which gives me more distance. I sure hope I can undo this and we can live without fighting.
