A friend of mine bought in the equestrian community near Hollister Hills last year. She loves it. Gated, properties from 5-10 acres, community arena, hacking trails. I didn't want to go that far south and I live in San Martin across from Harvey Bear Park and love it! There's a nice 5 acre place for sale on San Martin Ave just north of Foothill. The previous owners took all the nice pipe panel cross fencing, arena, and round pen when they moved, but it is still very nice. My husband does mortgages and has worked with Lisa mentioned in a post, and has only good things to say about her, so she might be a good place to start. Good luck.
