Get him a gaited saddle. That's what we always used on him and it fit very well on his withers and shoulders. I would stay away from Hillason, they have a bad reputation. If you want a treeless, the best out there (IMO) is an Ansur, they're very pricey, but I have a friend that only uses them and they really are fabulous. They have new western ones we tried out at Expo, very very nice (starting at $3k)(shocked
