Before jumping in, draft a biz plan. Liability insurance is high - winter income is low. Horses continue to eat year round and require vet care.
A good friend of mine did guided trail rides in Paradise years ago. She went out of biz when one person purposely fell off and sued. Friends insurance went after the person, and won; countersued for fruad and won that. Then the insurance company dropped her as high risk.
It is a great biz, just go into it with your eyes wide open. Draft a biz plan...make sure you know the $$/details involved.
