I was told a month after I got her that she had a major shoulder injury and to get rid of her, by my previous vet. I didn't agree with him telling me to do that without even any x-rays so I no longer use him.
I will have her on pain meds, as soon as I can get them, my new vet is coming out very soon. I had intially waited in case the lameness got better quickly (it sometimes does) and because when I put her on pain meds she goes super nuts and sometimes hurts herself even worse.
I probably should have gotten them before now, but I hate having horses on meds all the time, and she has already been on full dosage for several months in a row this year.
