My chiro did acupunture on her, but I got the impression that she didn't really feel it was going to help (she though that my mare might be dislocating her shoulder).
I could certainly go on and do more ultrasounds, radiographs or the bone scan on her shoulder, but I have to wonder when will it be enough? She has already shown that she is getting worse every time she goes lame, and that she can hardly move in the winter in mud, and possibly just in the cold.
I think I have pretty much decided to put her down (according to my boyfriend who knows me quite well anyway) I am just tying to make peace with that.
My regular vet understands and is in favor of putting her down (she says she wouldn't have done as much, and she is a vet!) or doing more diagnostics (but she understands that I have already done a lot and can only afford so much), the vet we have been working with over at Penequ (Russ Peterson) won't give me a straight answer anymore, hard for him since he hasn't seen her since March. But he was understanding of the idea even back then.
My chiro (nancy elliot) who's opinion I trust over all others, has not yet given her input. I am waiting to hear back from her.
Anyway, didn't mean for this to be a continuation of my problems!
I will talk with my vet about talking to Davis, but I think she will agree that keeping her at home is the best.
Thanks!
