keep off the mud, keep the toveros sort of clean. protect from the driving rains in the mountains. horses don't always use the shelter in the rain, then they would get chills. just made my life easier. never had an issue.
the ones with the mesh breath better, the regular straight sheets were like putting plastic on the horses. not good.
