Layer layer layer. Our horses have heavy stormy blankets (say rambo and like blankets), a rain sheet only (no liner just a rain sheet, baker sheets or cotton sheets and some have mid weights as well.
Tonight all our clipped horses in woodside are getting rambo types. Unclipped horses in barn rain sheets no weight or liner as ther are not used to weather and we are to have up to 50 mph wind. Our stalls are inclosed on three sides but open on the paddock end so it can be breezy.
Our rain sheets have the mesh on inside.
