Hay bale storage ideas?

Do folks have any suggestions, ideas, inexpensive things they've tried/made for waterproof, easily accessible single hay bale storage? I am moving my horse at the end of the month. I want him to continue having grass hay, which they do not provide, but will feed if provided by the owner. I am going to buy my own bale of grass hay to put outside his stall/paddock so that the feeder can give him his flakes. I will have a tack box, but want to be able to lock that, so it won't work to keep my hay. It also can't be too large because it can't block the aisle way. It will be outside so it must be rainproof. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
