Okay we have been offered a crazy deal to get alfalfa hay that has some nutgrass mixed in with it. Most bales have less than 10%, but some will have mostly nutgrass.
All we can find out about nutgrass is that it is an invasive weed grass that won't grow well at our house.
The vet said he doesn't know of any risk of toxicity (like with sudan hay).
Does anyone know of any risk of nutgrass (cured and baled) to horses, goats, sheep, or llamas ? The sample bale he sent home with us was devoured happily tonight.
