Rode in same saddle two days in a row. 1st day, SMX pad evenly wet back (3 hour ride on trail, quite a few moderate to steep hills). Second day, same saddle and pad - 1 hour trail ride. Both of the "pockets" behind the shoulders were bone dry in the same spot on my gelding.
Keep searching for a new saddle ????
