Increased H20 intake & urination is a common sign of Insulin Resistance. Have you had blood work done on her recently? You have to specifically request for the blood work to be checked for IR (it isn't on a normal blood panel check).
The water issue was one of the top signs in my gelding when he was diagnosed. He would, literally, drag me back to his stall after our lessons so he could drink, drink, drink. The extra peeing just came along as a result.
Horses can be IR, without being Cushings. Best to check ASAP. Docs now think that horses who are IR and go undiagnosed will become Cushings.
