Trying to find someone to hand float is frustrating!

I've called all the vets in our area and one might but he has to decide when he gets out here! One ever strongly discouraged using an equine dentist because they aren't licensed to give sedation!!!! I might, might, might be able to talk the vet at Pioneer into it but he was pretty doubtful also. They all say things about power floating being in the "best interest of the horse". But it really all sounds like it is really because of the time factor, an hour for hand vs. 20 min. for power!
