A good equine dentist will use whatever means necessary and available to him (or her) to do the best possible job on a horse.. safely, quickly, and without undue stress to the horse. Period. We can debate the pros and cons of hand floating vs power floating till we are blue in the face. For 10 years I did this as a profession.. every single horse was different.. every single horse required different methods. It's easy to cast stones when you aren't the one being flogged!
