Many of the equines not adopted out from the Stanislaus County and Merced County shelters have been sent through Oakdale Equine Rescue,
where many have been sponsored and adopted out to
new homes.
If you look up Oakdale Equine Rescue on Facebook, you can check them out or even send them a message if there is a particular equine you are concerned about.
