There are too many horses out there that don't have homes that end up at auction, or even sometimes go straight to the kill buyers or other groups with less than honorable pursuits.
Although I hate to see otherwise healthy horses euthanized - I like it 100 times better than kill buyers, horse trippers, etc.......
