I have an Arab with wide shoulders, wide back and I tried 16 saddles. I finally bit the bullet and called a saddle maker- Meredad from JRD- he can be cranky but man oh man can he fit a horse. He told me my horse was one of the hardest fits he has ever dealt with. My horse has been awesome now-no attitude when girthing up, his back has changed 100%! Now I know the difference between a saddle maker and a saddle fitter. He even measured me because I am tiny and my horse is wide-
