Mine was heavily medicated, so much so that there was a line from the back of the halter piece to the Anderson sling, holding her head up so she would not drop it and cut off her airway.
They hook them up and do the head dropper almost similtaniously. There was a vet at each end, one to sedate and one to give meds to bring her out of the sedation.
