This is my daily cinch. My horse has never had the issue you speak of so I didn't think about it but do love this cinch. Gentle on the skin, does not leave irritation, sweat goop, bumps, etc. like some other horses I ride with after a hot workout.
Agree with pony on the over tightening too.. most do this)O: I get the rope style cinch with the wider bottom, partly because I barrel race. So the cinch stays stable while the sides are not overly tight. Good luck!
