There really aren't many hotels in the area where Cavalia is. It's a very industrial part of town.
However, there are some hotels near the SJC airport that would be safe & comfortable - and only a few minutes away. The Doubletree on Airport Parkway is a good one - they have a couple restaurants, a nice pool, and lots of parking.
Or, you could stay in Downtown San Jose or Milpitas. SJ downtown may be spendy. There are lots of good options in Milpitas - a Sheraton and also the Beverly Hotel are right at 880 & Montague. Or the Courtyard Milpitas is on Montague right by the Great Mall, and is really nice/safe.
