And sometimes it just takes time to get him to see things your way. Don't push the arena issue too much and yes, I would, if I were you, seek outside help to smooth things out if you really want to keep him. It definitely is a learning experience, but then that's half the fun of owning horses, right? Since he's only six, he shouldn't have that deep-rooted issues yet, just sounds a bit stubborn or just doesn't understand what you want of him. Maybe a bit of both. I think that once you get him to come around, he sounds like he would be a great horse for you.
