I have ridden it out on him. I've had full on riding it out battles with him for an hour or two. So I'm not sure that is the right approach for this one. He just digs in and goes more and more crazy the more you drive him. I've had him running full out for over an hour and he would finally give in, but I don't think it changed his mind much. I hear you - that kind of strategy works for my mustang. He will test and then give in when you keep him going, and you can finish up good on him that way.
