I received this message from the Sacramento Horsemen's Association and wanted to spread the word.

Two Red Roan Horses Lost...
The horses broke away from their high tie line Saturday night July 21st. The Ranger thought that the horses might have had an encounter with a bear. The owners (a young boy and his father) have searched all day, but do not have any assistance from any agencies and are on their own. The horses still have their halters and lead ropes on and could easily get hung up on a tree or rock preventing them from getting to feed or water. There are horses in a private corral a short distance from the Tells Creek Horse camp turn off. They could see the horses trail there, but lost it.
1 horse has 3 socks, the other 2.
If anyone knows of resources for tracking, please let them know.

As of Sunday 6pm, the horses had not been found.
