A friend got him from another friend who needed a younger horse a few months ago. She rescued him 3 years ago as an intact stud with an eye injury that caused him to lose sight.
He still has the eye but it really doesn't seem to make a difference at all that he can't see out of it. He's the sweetest most un-studly horse ever. Loves kids and really doesn't seem to know that eye is missing.
Love him to pieces...
I know most animals can adapt really well if given time to adjust.
