I used to use it for my mare when she would get shod. She had very thin soles and would get sore easily even though the farrier never touched it. She was much happier with her pre-dose of Previcox. I would also cut a piece of carrot and bury the 1/4 tab in it. My horses are also weird thought as they'll eat the tab by itself from my hand.
If you were given a prescription for it and have a Costco membership they have it at a really good price. I picked some up for my dog and it was around $26 for 10 tabs of the 257 mg size. Their price for 60 tabs was also better than what I've paid before but I can't remember it off hand.
