I have had my old mare [almost 27] on it for about 3 years now, it's a miracle drug! Made the mistake of taking her off of it for a few months, what a noticeable difference!!!!!!!!!! She is much more comfy and perky on it. I also use joint supps [Cosequin ASU Plus] along with Accel Lifetime [contains microbials and yeast] and LOTS of fresh ground flax [also an anti-inflammatory]
The one warning I have is DO NOT administer bute while horse is on Prevacox, that is the only danger I know of, not to mix them
